Europe Day is 9 May, a date chosen to mark the anniversary of the historic ‘Schuman Declaration’. Schuman’s proposal is considered to be the beginning of what is now the European Union. We you invite to our Europe Day Celebration at the University of Canterbury on Friday 8 May between 12pm and 3pm. The festivities will include a Roundtable Discussion with high profile speakers and the opportunity to experience European culture, food and music, as you can see from the programme below.
The event is being organised by the National Centre for Research on Europe at the University of Canterburyon behalf of the European Union Centres Network (NZ EUCN) and the Delegation of the European Union to New Zealand.
