School Teacher PLD Workshop 2016

In conjunction with the 2016 Model EU events in Auckland and Christchurch we will be offering a Professional Development Workshop (PLD) for New Zealand Secondary School Teachers.

The EU and Europe are very broad areas and fit with many topics across the curriculum. Following best practice

the workshop will use an inquiry-based learning approach which teachers will then model to students. Professor Carol Mutch from the University of Auckland is a very experienced education facilitator and will guide teachers through investigation into weaving the EU into New Zealand's curriculum and assessment, help build practical classroom work plans and resources.

The workshop is designed to assist teachers to learn by asking the topic experts, the workshop faciliatator or other workshop attendees, by sharing ideas and topics they have already found useful to gain new ideas and useful resources. Given the topic of the 2016 Model EUs, the workshop will look at terrorism and its effects but is not limited to this topic.
